Kelly Erickson Rockwell
Kelly is a dedicated champion of inclusive opportunities in school, work and everyday life for people with developmental disabilities. She is thrilled to serve as the Vice President and Creative Director of Mi Work Matters. In addition to co-founding Mi Work Matters, Kelly currently serves on the state of Michigan’s Developmental Disability Council. Her passion and dedication is fueled by her own children, including her daughter Anastasia who has Down syndrome, and by the many wonderful families she has met along the way.
Her various civic service and volunteer roles include coordinating a hands on Disability Awareness Workshop for elementary school students in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District and serving on the district’s Special Education Parent Advisory Committee. She also volunteered with the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan to work on numerous branding and marketing materials and on the employment committee.
Kelly is a creative marketing professional with over 20 years of experience. She has created award winning designs for Detroit's automotive giants and moved hearts for local nonprofits. Her professional areas of expertise include creative direction, art direction, graphic design, creative strategy, nonprofit marketing and brand identity.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. She lives in West Bloomfield with her husband, two children and Spirit, their appropriately named dog.
