Dreams Matter.

Mi Work Matters (pronounced My Work Matters!) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit which owns and operates two community-centric social enterprise cafes – Anastasia and Katie’s and the Good and Strong Coffee Shop & Cafe – providing inclusive, paid training and employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a welcoming, supported atmosphere. Other activities include grassroots advocacy, education, and outreach.

Coffee on a Mission

Social Enterprise

Anastasia and Katie’s and the newly opened Good and Strong Coffee Shop & Cafe are social enterprises under the Mi Work Matters nonprofit organization.

Vocational Training

Clear path from training to paid work

This formal program focuses on an innovative curriculum using hands-on, interactive training. Participants with I/DD learn job skills that will prepare them for employment within the Mi Works Matters organization and beyond.

Advocacy and Leadership

Mi Work Matters Employment Ambassadors

These amazing self-advocates have overcome barriers to employment and share their experiences as employed members of the community with a dynamic presentation to community groups, schools, and businesses. Ambassadors are trained and paid for each rehearsal and presentation.

Mi Work Matters commitment to diversity

Mi Work Matters is committed to promoting a diverse community that draws from all segments of society, that is free from discrimination and harassment and where all individuals are treated with fairness, respect, equity and dignity. We believe everyone is unique in their own way and makes an undeniable contribution to our society.
